Kristen oversees all aspects of the firm focused on talent acquisition, management, and recruitment solutions, consulting to a wide variety of clients, primarily in healthcare.
Recent assignments include recruitment contracts development, standardization and implementation, sourcing tool development, sourcing training, agency use elimination planning, automation of processes, HR metrics development, staff training, and staffing solutions consulting
Kristen’s work also includes workforce development, succession planning, performance management tool creation/implementation and compensation consulting as well as RPO planning and evaluation, float pool program development and career coaching/interview skill development.
Prior to forming Talent Management Strategies, Kristen was the Director of Recruitment for Caritas Christi Health Care where she managed a multi-million dollar recruitment budget for six hospital facilities and five sub-acute facilities. Key accomplishments include successfully transitioning the recruitment function from a decentralized to a centralized model and achieving a cost-per-hire 75% lower than the industry average, while maintaining significantly lower time to fill and vacancy rates.
Earlier in her career, Kristen founded a recruiting firm, Permanent Staffing Solutions, and was an Account Executive for Core Medical Group and a Nurse Recruiter for Clinical One.
An accomplished professional, Kristen was the winner of the Association of Employment Professionals H. Michael Boyd Excellence in Employment Award as well as the Beacon Award and the Circle of Excellence Award from Fidelity Investments for her work on the Caritas Christi account.
Kristen has completed substantial coursework at the University System of New Hampshire, Boston University and University of Massachusetts, is trained in Total Quality Management I and II and has pending certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Kristen is the co-author of “Developing Best Practices in a Resource-Challenged Environment” in the February 2009 issue of the Journal of Corporate Recruiting Leadership and is currently authoring "How the Economic Downturn May Be Improving Patient Care" for Health Care Review.
Kristen was a presenter at the 2008 Association of Employment Professionals Recruiter Boot Camp and is scheduled to speak at the ERE Spring Expo in San Diego CA in March 2009 as well as the ERE Fall Expo in Hollywood Beach, Florida. She will also be a speaker at the Human Capital Management Conference on Innovating HR Strategies in Tough Times in Dubia, May 19-21, 2009 and the Keynote speaker for the Association of Employment Professional's 2009 Excellence in Employment Award Ceremony in June 2009.
She is a Board Member of Advance for Nurses Magazine and a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration and the Northeast Human Resources Association.
